Located in the heart of downtown Chicago’s Cultural Mile, Columbia College Chicago is a private, nonprofit college with nearly 7,000 students. The College is a longtime LenelS2 OnGuard end user that has expanded its deployment over the years with the help of systems integrator, Sound, Inc. 

The OnGuard access control system manages access for 14 buildings across campus, controlling over 200 door readers. The College utilizes a one card system for student purchases from bookstores as well as to grant access across campus. To ensure student safety Sound, Inc., and the LenelS2 Custom Solutions team created an interface between the OnGuard system and the College’s OASIS student information system, to automatically update cardholder records in the OnGuard system.
